About Us

It is possible that the heating and cooling system is one of your home’s most important systems, and now more than ever with the recent rising cost of energy.  The rise in energy cost has even made certain individuals in the market for a new home look as closely at the energy efficiency of the heating and cooling system of the home as they are the floor plan of the home.  As a result, it is important for every homeowner, or future homeowner to have a basic understanding about heating and cooling systems.

Let’s start with the HVAC systems.  HVAC is the acronym for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and is the system that controls your home’s humidity, air temperature, and the air quality.  The primary functions of the heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning system are very closely interconnected in that they all provide thermal comfort, and improve indoor air quality.  In addition, HVAC systems can provide ventilation, reduce air contaminates such as pollen, dust, and smog through filtration, as well maintain equal air pressure between spaces.

Central heating and cooling systems heat or cool the inside air of a home through a central area, such as a furnace or air conditioning unit and then distributes the heated or cooled air throughout the home or building through a network of ductwork.  The majority of central heating and cooling systems are classified as forced air systems.  Several central heating and cooling systems use one or more air filters placed inside the ductwork to remove dust, pollen, and other contaminants from the air, which makes the air inside the home healthier to breathe.

Radiant heating is another form of heating system, which heats the home by radiating heat throughout the home.  Radiant systems can use any one of the following components radiate the heat into the home:

  •     Radiators

  •     Radiant flooring system

  •     Ceiling panels

  •     Boilers

Whole-house air conditioning systems are another type central system, which uses ductwork to deliver cooled air throughout the home or office.  These systems often incorporate a Heating Pump to provide heat to the home or building when needed.

It is important that you do as much research on the Internet that you can, learning about the various types of heating and cooling systems.  Being a well-educated consumer will allow you to purchase the right heating and cooling systems for your home, area, and wallet.  This will also you help you to understand about which systems will be more energy efficient for your home.  Being educated about the heating and cooling systems allows you to speak with your heating and air contractor and explain to them what you want.  It also allows you to understand what your heating and cooling contractor is telling you.  In addition, being well educated helps protect you from being taken advantaged.  When speaking with your contractor, do not be afraid to ask them to explain to you anything you do not understand about the system as well as the meaning of any term or phrase they may use that you do not understand.  If the contractor isn’t willing to take the time to explain to you things you do not understand, then perhaps this isn’t the contractor for you.

We created and designed our web site to help our readers navigate through the process of selecting, sizing, and purchasing heating and cooling systems for their home and businesses.  It is our hope that the articles on this website will help you understand more about Central Heating and Air-condition systems including how to do basic repairs.
